Zoom is reportedly set to arrive in Tesla vehicles according to an official announcement made by Zoom’s Group Product Manager Natasha Walia during the Zoomtopia 2022 Event on Tuesday (via Drive Tesla Canada).
The new integration will drivers to participate in video and audio calls without using a mobile device, and there was a short video demo showing off Zoom video conferencing working in a Tesla Model Y. It also shows the feature being used while the car is parked, so it is likely only going to be usable when the car is not in motion.
Zoom integration doesn’t have an official release date, but will be coming to “all new Tesla models soon.”
Tesla drivers who already pay for Premium Connectivity add-on ($9.99 monthly plus applicable tax) can make calls using the car’s own data plan.
